Home Page
Hockamock Kennel Club, founded in l967, is an all-breed AKC member club dedicated to promoting responsible purebred dog breeding and ownership.  Our mission is to enhance the human-animal bond through participation in events of social responsibility and community service.  Our meetings are open to the public and are held 10 times per year.  We meet the third Tuesday of each month with the exception of July and August.  Meeting topics included disaster panning, therapy dog training, animal nutrition, grooming, AKC rules and regulations, health research, and service dogs.  Local experts present these topics in depth.

ur annual dog shows, held Friday and Saturday, at the end of June or the beginning of July, offer many opportunities for community involvement.  Prior to the regular show, we hold a small dog show for the residents of the Wrentham Developmental Center.  Mansfield Emergency Management volunteers hold free blood pressure clinics for the public.  We hold a Canine Good Citizen Test for dogs at the Saturday show.  We also offer dog show tours and have an information table with club member volunteers available to answer any questions that attendees may have.  The Northeast Search Dogs Inc. group holds a search and rescue demonstration.  Several health clinics are also offered.

We welcome new members and are happy to assist anyone who would like more information about the sport of purebred dogs.
